Jett arrived in Los Angeles in 1996 and immediately began working for gay porn director Sam Abdul of Forum Studios as a production assistant. Within four months, Jett was directing Abdul's leather line, Leather Entertainment. Jett began to work for other companies, developing his style and soon became best known as a director of "story porn", hardcore X-rated features with complicated plots and acting.
